International Women's Day

Today is the centenary of International Women's Day!

Today, the whole world celebrates women’s achievements in the economic, political & social worlds, past, present & future.
It's hard to believe that 100 years ago, to the day, women were first recognised as having such a powerful influence within society. That seems almost an ancient belief now, compared with women such as Oprah Winfrey, JK Rowling, Barbara Walters, Jordan’s Queen Rania, Diane Sawyer, Australia’s Ruth Tarvydas…
Being a team consisting entirely of women, today has really struck a chord.
We loudly & excitedly support all independent women, but nowadays in 2011 the phrase “women in business” is very common.

I personally don’t think that women who have taken the leap to build up their own business are given enough credit. It’s a long, tiresome & brutal struggle, but let me tell you; the benefits of seeing all your hard work come to fruition is the most elation you can ever feel in the business world (and even in your personal life too!!)!
One woman creates her own empire from nothing and, looking down on it all from her well-earned throne, she can smile, sigh & give herself a deserved pat on the back.
What an achievement!

So, standing ovations to all women who have taken that massive leap of faith. We applaud & support you for your boldness!
You don’t really have to be born into the royal family to be a Queen!
Build your own kingdom (or Queendom), and rule it with all your strength & passion!!!
